Second Week for Soccer; School Starts; The Games Begin

We are entering the second week of soccer, and a week full of significant events.  Although classes start on Wednesday, there is a lot cooking at HHS the first two days of the week, and a lot going on with soccer.  We normally publish the schedule for the week ahead on Sundays (always with a look further ahead to games and big events).  We will publish a comprehensive schedule tomorrow, but give you some highlights in narrative form now.

There will be a tryout/training for all Subvarsity players on Monday at Dresden from 10:00 - Noon.  This is the final tryout for all students.  The Subvarsity teams will be named later on Monday.  The JV1 team will practice on the HHS turf from 5:30 - 6:30.  The Varsity will practice on the turf Monday from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Tuesday is freshman and new student orientation.  There will be no Subvarsity training.  The Varsity not participating in orientation may train on Tuesday morning.  The JV1 and Varsity will host scrimmages with Lebanon on the turf:  JV at 4:00, Varsity at 6:00.  This is a benefit or the Haven.  We are asking all players, parents and fans to bring non-perishable food items and/or donations for the Haven Food Pantry.

Wednesday is the first day of school.  Training will take place for the Junior Varsities at Dresden at 3:00.  This is the first day of bus service to and from practice.  Busses will leave from in front of the high school one hour after dismissal.  Practices Wednesday will be from 3:00 - 4:30.  The Freshman team will scrimmage the girls' Varsity on the turf at 5:00, and finish at 6:30.  The Varsity will train on the turf from 6:30 - 8:00.

On Thursday, all Subvarsity teams will train or scrimmage at Dresden,  from 4:00 - 5:30.  Busses will leave HHS for Dresden at 3:45.  The Varsity will train on the turf from 6:30 - 8:00.

The Freshman team will open their season with a home game against Manchester Memorial at Dresden at 4:30 on Friday.

All teams will have Saturday and Sunday completely off.  The Varsity will train on Monday, Labor Day.  Varsity and JV 1 open their season on Tuesday, Sept. 3:00 at 4:00 and 6:00 against Exeter.
