The JV1 squad dominated Timberlane on Tuesday at HHS, scoring three times win each half to beat the Owls 6-0 and extend their winning streak to eight games and their record to 10-1. The Marauders started right away. Mitch Aspinwall hit a volley off a deflection that forced a great save at the five minute mark. Isak Larusson played Eric Tysinger in in the 7th minute for a shot off the keeper. Jack Maynes made a good defensive play, sliding to block a shot ten minutes into the match. Hanover took a 1-0 lead on an own goal that followed a hard cross on the ground from Pierce Hamlin at the 12 minute mark. Midway through the Hal, Oscar doubled the lead, talking a pass form the wing straight to goal. Oscar almost got a second one five later with a flick header on goal, fro a cross engineered by Owen Stannard. In the Hanover end, CJ Wheelan had a couple of plays, saving a long shot and them coming off his line to flail at a ball at the edge of the box. Four minutes before the interval, Zane Schiffman made it 3-0 for the Marauders, taking a pass from Johnny Reznek and finishing with his right foot.
Hanover put the game away early in the second half with two goals in the first five minutes. Eric Tysinger won a tackle at the top of the 18 and went straight to goal to put Hanover ahead 4-0. Two minutes later, Pierce Hamlin put away a left footer, assisted by Tyusinger, to slam the door on the Owls. Midway through the half Connor Hamlin finished the scoring with a pass from Johnny Reznek that allowed him time for two touches to set up his shot.
The JV1s will practice Wednesday on the Turf immediately after school. After Thursday training at Dresden, they will leave at 1:00 on Friday for their 4:30 match at Winnacunnet.
