The JV1 squad made a successful road trip to Manchester on Thursday, beating Memorial 5-0 with five different goal scorers. Hanover has won seven games in a row, and is 9-1 on the season. The Marauders got. started quickly, scoring in the fifth minute when Mitch Aspinwall switched the point of attack to Isak Larusson on the right flank. Isak's cross connected with Pierce Hamlin at the far post for a 1-0 lead. Five minutes later, Eric Tysinger fed Mitch Aspinwall for a left-footed finish on a center run. Hanover nearly scored once more before halftime, when Oscar beat the keeper but saw his shot swept off the goal line by a Memorial defender.
Hanover improved on the 2-0 halftime lead in the 60th minute, when Connor Hamlin crossed to Murphy Hunt, who hit a lefty far post finish. Five minutes later Oscar headed in a Matthias Einarsson corner kick. The final Marauder goal was a cleanup on aisle seven by Owen Standard after a short corner played in by Connor Hamlin.
Coach Johnson's crew will train at Dresden Friday at the regular time. Next game is a Tuesday picture with the Timberlane Owls at 4:00.
