Hanover Soccer Heads to Ireland

For the next week, these blog posts will be originating from Galway, Ireland.  We fly out Sunday evening with 15 Hanover players for a week of training, tourism and team bonding.  This is the third Hanover trip in six years, all led by Tom Johnson of Lee, a longtime friend and ally.  Tom has been running tours to Europe for more than 30 years, and has a long history with Hanover soccer.  U graduate of UNH he also coached Oyster River High School to several states championships (at Hanover's expense more than once) and has b been a longtime Seacoast club coach.  Joining Tom on this trip is Brian Dougher, the Head Soccer Coach at Southern Maine Community College.  Brian has been on both previous Hanover trips, and adds a huge amount of soccer expertise and safety (he's a First Responder).

We'll try to mix the report of our week overseas, and continue to update you on Hanover High preseason plans.  You've heard it here before, but be sure to consider the 6:00 p.m. fitness boot camps the next two Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Dresden Fields.  These are open to all players on all levels.  Run by Jared Walker of Amped Fitness, each session is $10.  Well worth it!

 Bon Voyage!
