Looking Ahead to Thursday

It was disappointing to lose this morning's session, and we will be sorry to lose the Alumni Game.  But there is a great deal of soccer ahead, and we need to plan immediately for the next seven days.  School starts in a week, people.

Thursday morning there will be a training/tryout session at Dresden for everyone.  In order to make up for the loss of two scrimmage opportunities today, we will alter the morning session and conclude with two good games.  We split the sophomores tomorrow-  one squad will play the freshmen, and one will play the juniors.  The seniors will warm up and rest for Thursday evening's game.

We will take a squad of 29 to Keene Thursday, and a different squad of 30 Friday.  Each team will wear white.  We will provide white tops (and reclaim them after the match).  Every player must have a mouthpiece.  You will not be allowed on the bus without a mouthpiece.  We have been warning about this for weeks.  Our pastoral times in at the Pasture with no mouthpieces has ended.  We are on the road the next three days where officials will police mouthpieces and shirts being tucked in.  We miss summer already.

This is the squad for Keene on Wednesday:

Charlie Adams
Judd Alexander
Latham Allison
Henry Aspinwall
Will Blinkhorn
Brendan Brigham
Peter Burnham
Toño Correa
Kyle Doucette
Andrew Enelow
Pierce Hamlin
Dylan Kotlowitz
Derek Lacy

Tucker Monson
Evan Nichols
Palmer Okai
Patrick Osborn
Blake Palmer
Joey Perras
Noah Pikielny

Games will be played at the Keene State University soccer stadium on Krif Road.  We play Con Val at 7:00 and Keene High at 8:00.  Con-Val was 19-1 and won the D2 state title last year.  Keene was a strong playoff team, and their Coach Ben Pierce was D1 Coach of the Year.

Friday's games at Keene will be played at Keene High School.  Hanover plays Con Val at 6:00 and Keene at 7:00.  This squad will be named no later than Thursday morning.
